TOPSHOP Comes to Chicago

TOPSHOP and TOPMAN opened their flagship store doors for the first time in the Midwest.

Bringing even more Mag to the Mile, the unveiling of TOPSHOP and TOPMAN ushers in a new approach to fashion. According to Arcadia Group owner Sir Phillip Green, Michigan Avenue was the perfect location to place the British fashion retailer, seeing that it is one of the greatest shopping streets in the world. Stylish city slickers and fashion mavens from the outskirts of the windy city gathered together to luxuriate in the 30,000 sq. ft. store on opening day.

Activities included a runway show of current looks that shut down Pearson Street and a ribbon cutting ceremony with none other than Miley Cyrus, as well as a private dinner at Paris Club. The city's fashionable movers and shakers came together on Wednesday, September 7th at Paris Club and enjoyed open bars and a sit-down dinner consisting of a scrumptious chilled seafood platter, and entrées like the Florentine Tart, Alaskan Halibut, and Prime N.Y. Strip Steak Frites. It was a night the Factio team won't soon forget!

The store itself is three floors. The basement level holds the shoe lounge and lingerie, make-up and accessories are on the ground level and TOPMAN is on the second floor. The interior most definitely added to the excitement of the grand opening. A mirrored Union Jack pattern featured on the ceiling, DJ booth on the second floor and a personal shopping and styling suite were the finishing touches to an already glamified store. It was close to impossible to leave empty handed.
