On Thursday, November 4th, the Gen Art Foundation is hosting the Gen Art Resurrection Benefit to set things right for those who suffered monetary losses when the company claimed bankruptcy. Gen Art began as a foundation created to help emerging talent in the film and design industry launch their careers. For the benefit, Gen Art Alumni will make up the host committee and will include celebrities such as Edward Norton & Jeremy Renner, Kate Mara, and Whitney Port of Whitney Eve. Proceeds will go to emerging filmmakers and designers who suffered monetary losses when Gen Art claimed bankruptcy. In regard to the company’s recent losses, Co-Founder and CEO Ian Gerard stated: “In these trying economic times, every dollar counts to an emerging artist. To know that our business troubles had a negative effect on a group of young talent was unacceptable to us.” The event will take place from 8-11pm at the Hudson Hotel at 356 West 58th Street. - Nicole Simone
