Pivot Hosts a Perfectly Edited Vintage Collection

Buying vintage is the old-fashioned way to be eco-friendly. Before the green movement, the best way to live a sustainable fashion life was to revamp old clothing found in secondhand and vintage shops. Pivot Boutique is answering these hopes of vintage lovers in Chicago. The eco-friendly boutique is pairing up with The MidWasteland to launch a new and carefully edited vintage collection. Owner Jessa Brinkmeyer and Monica Dimperio (of The MidWasteland) want to make vintage shopping easy for those who cannot make the usual rounds to hidden vintage shops or scour through the mess at thrift stores for those "rare" gems. The collection is a compilation of aged pieces that effortlessly fit into wardrobes, and alongside styles from Pivot’s newest line-up of eco-friendly designers. Pivot’s newest “old” collection debuted February 26, 2009 during a cocktail throwback hour held in-store. The Pivot vintage collection featured more than reasonable prices starting at $25, and extended a party-exclusive 30% discount. Continue the celebration from Pivot’s closet to yours by shopping eco-smart. Pivot is located at 1101 West Fulton Market in Chicago.
