Michigan Ave. Mag Celebrated with Bill Maher

The “Magnificent Mile” is now a magazine – Michigan Avenue was celebrated last Friday night with Bill Maher. The Emmy nominated political comedian was among Niche Media CEO, Jason Binn and V1 Jets.com Owner, Andrew Zarrow in commemorating the magazine’s upcoming launch. After Bill Maher performed his stand-up routine to a packed audience at the Chicago Theatre, the party took place at Enclave. Bill Maher revealed on-stage that he had even contributed an article to be in the premier Michigan Avenue issue. Editor-in-Chief, Susanna Homan felt the buzz around the launch all night while successfully keeping secret who was chosen to be on the launch cover. The magazine will have many celebrity contributors and is definitely one hot commodity to keep on the look-out for when it hits stands September 15, 2008.

Michigan Avenue Magazine, a luxury lifestyle magazine which will launch in Chicago this September hosted a private dinner party at Luxbar last night. The star-studded event brought in Weeds actor Matthew Modine, who joined Publisher and President of Michigan Ave. Mag, Dan Uslan, as well as staffers, Kelly Ryan O'brien - Director of PR and Marketing and Susanna Homan - Executive Editor. Notable guests included Andrea Schwartz of Macy's, LeeAnn Trotter-NBC5's entertainment reporter, Angela Wise from the Horseshoe Casino and X/A's Amanda Puck. Guests enjoyed private dining in an upstairs space with its own private balcony, with great starters like mini crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms before the main course of their signature steak or tuna steak. The party was kicked off with a toast of Terlato Wines to celebrate the launch of this new magazine and visiting actor, Matthew Modine.
