Anna Wintour hosts Dinner for Obama

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour hosted one of the country’s most important citizens at her Sullivan Street home. President Barack Obama dined at Wintour’s home for a fund-raising event to benefit the Democratic National Committee. Obama enjoyed dinner with a small crowd of donors including Calvin Klein and Donna Karan after his appearance on “The View” earlier in the day. This won't be Wintour’s first big event, in 2008 along with Calvin Klein she hosted a party with big name guests including Michelle Obama, Shelby Bryan and Andre Leon Talley. We're sure this event will be one guests will be talking about for years to come. - Brittany S. Gavin

Michelle Obama Replaced with Blonde Doll in Harper's Bazaar Japan

A recent issue of Harper's Bazaar Japan cover read “First Lady Chic” but when readers opened the magazine they discovered a blonde doll had replaced Michelle Obama. The doll was pictured in fashions that would describe Mrs. O’s style, however, there was no resemblance to the wonderful First Lady at all. In one picture the doll is even placed next to the picture of President Obama while he is giving a speech. The campaign is odd looking! One thing is clear - our First Lady has an impeccable sense of style.

Obama's Look at Interior Design

As the Obama family moves into the White House, we will see their style come to life in the form of an official interior designer. They chose the interior decorator Michael Smith, who is from California and has written two books on design. He has decorated for Steven Spielberg and Cindy Crawford. The Obama’s are trying to create a warm and comfortable mood for the White House and feel that Smith can make that happen. When decorating for Malia and Sasha’s room, he is going to be utilizing stores that cater to children. He also plans on using various ideas and designs from other artists and designers. Smith also stated that he wanted to change the paint color of the White House. No one is 100% positive on the direction that the Obama’s and Smith are going to take, but they did mention that the Obama’s residence featured glass fronted bookcases, Asian and African art, and plenty family photos.
