Jason Wu Eyewear
Jason Wu's world changed overnight when Michelle Obama wore his gown to the Presidential Inaugural Ball. Since then, Wu has become the must-have designer for women around the world, and is now launching an eyewear collection. Wu described his inspiration saying, “when I was thinking of accessories I thought, what is the one thing that’s iconic for actresses and memorable women? Every iconic woman is known for her sunglasses.” The collection features subtle cat-eye frames and metal details, along with over-sized shapes for a classic shape. The entire line is designed to portray iconic women through the ages including Amelia Earhart, Elizabeth Bennet (Pride and Prejudice), and Josephine (“Jo” from Little Women). The collection will also have optical as well as sunglasses, ranging from $225 to $375. Jason Wu Eyewear can be found at all leading luxury retailers including Bergdorf Goodman and Neimen Marcus. -Lubna Hassan
