A Video Fashion Story: Fall Look Book of Blake Standard

RUNWAY TO RETAIL: What was your inspiration for fall 2009?
PIERRE COLORADO OF BLAKE STANDARD: This Fall 2009, inspiration came from a combination of current events- global climate changes, increased travel restrictions, and the multi-tasking lifestyles of our customers; which all require versatility in your wardrobe. We designed this collection around all the stories we've heard - 'the uncertainty of weather patterns and temperatures', 'traveling with a carry on suitcase, landing, and having to be ready in the lobby in 10 minutes', 'having to look great at work, and then running around with the kids and all their after school activity's, 'enjoying my weekends in comfort without looking slouchy'.

The pieces convey the ideal of a sophisticated, chic woman and infuses her daily lifestyle, home, work or play without any great effort or fuss. The pieces are perfect for mixing and matching and complement many accessories already found in our client's wardrobe.

RTR: What items should we pick up this fall?
PC: The fall '09 collection consists of 100% cotton cropped jackets, jersey and rib knit dresses, soft cover ups, and this season softly sculpted blazer in a cotton interlock, for lots of versatility.
