Sweet Face Dolls to Help UNICEF

Moschino for Frimousses de Créateurs

The new face of high fashion is sweet and child-friendly. High fashion designers are partnering with UNICEF to help the less fortunate children of Darfur. The Peitit Palais in Paris will host the designer “sweet face” dolls benefit in order to raise money for children vaccination centers. Contributing doll designers include fashion favorites like BCBG Max Azria, Carolina Herrera, Céline, Chanel, Chloé, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Dolce & Gabbana, Dries van Noten, Emanuel Ungaro, Emilio Pucci, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Moschino, Nina Ricci, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sonia Rykiel, Stella McCartney, Versace, and Yves Saint Laurent. This is the sixth year anniversary for the Frimousses de Créateurs event. Last year, 222.000 Euros was raised and helped create 250 vaccination centers in Darfur. The centers are dedicated to vaccinating under-five-year-olds against the six most deadly childhood diseases: tuberculosis, measles, polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, and tetanus. The “sweet face” doll exhibition will take place this coming November 18-23, 2008.
