Common Threadz is quickly becoming a leader and trendsetter for non-profit organizations. The company donates the proceeds from fashion forward graphic tees to school uniforms for the less fortunate in developing nations. With a simple mission, it's no wonder why Common Threadz was a hit at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards Styles Lounge. Common Threadz gained the support of many Hollywood celebrities. R&B star Christina Milian and Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe were a few to support the organization.
Founder and Executive director Zac Folk has found a clever and unique way to expose a growing problem. "For millions of disadvantaged children in developing nations, clothing is something that can either prevent them from an education or provide them with a huge opportunity to change their lives. Through our own line of socially-conscious apparel, Common Threadz has created a vehicle to help sustain our charity mission while making what you wear an expression of what matters to you as well as a way to help someone who needs a hand up, not a hand out," summing up the sole purpose of his organization.
