A select and very fortunate group gathered at
While sipping on cocktails and champagne, sampling unique bite-sized nibbles and perusing Philip’s amazing jewelry, guests were able to chat with the designer about his life, personal style and inspirations.
From a design perspective, Philip is “obsessive about collections and gains much inspiration from his many antique and vintage purchases throughout the years.” He has filled his space with everything from old photos of sports teams and soldiers to taxidermy. This unique practice of blending old collectibles and displaying them in a more modern environment provides much inspiration for his jewelry designs. This inspiration has led to a collaboration with Gap and bold creations for Vera Wang.
Quite the comic, Crangi entertained guests with humorous stories about life, his unique style, gaining perspective and inspiration in the design world.
For those willing to invest in the most sought-after arm candy, Philip personally monogrammed the Giles & Brother Railroad Spike bangle. In my consistent search for individual style, I ordered a unique version of the Studded Cuff.
The evening provided quite a twist on the typical cocktail party, giving me not only the chance to chat with Crangi, purchase an amazing new bauble, but renew my passion for display of vintage collections within modern, chic spaces.
