Nike Innovation Opening Reception

Last night was the Nike Innovation Opening Reception showcasing their new lightweight performance products designed for the Olympic athletes.

One thing is for sure, all eyes will be on Nike when the world's best athletes show off their new athletic wear in Beijing this year. Nike has thought of everything from special sand shoes for the volleyball players to the most innovative clothing for the track stars to wear to make sure not even the wind slows them down!

There was also an announcement made about the first annual "Human Race" run that will take place on August 31, 2008 in 25 cities around the world. At 10k, it will be the World's Largest Running Event and is open to anyone, anywhere.

The race intends to bring together sport and music by having top acts perform after the run. Here in Chicago, 'Fall Out Boy' will be making an appearance at Soldier Field. All the money collected will be donated to three global charities; Lance Armstrong Foundation, World Wild Life Foundation and ninemillion.org
