Love in Black

The new color of love for the season is – black. Creed’s new fragrance Love in Black will launch this September 2008 and is a deep scented perfume perfect for the fall and winter seasons. Mixed notes of wildflowers, violet, Virginia cedar, iris, clove, Tonkin musk, black current, and Bulgarian rose counterpart Creed Love in White’s light and powdery fragrance. The perfume will be dedicated to the 40th wedding anniversary of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Aristotle Onassis – debuting a month earlier than their October wedding. These specific scents were inspired by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’s favorite places such as cedar from the Virginia Florence, and black current from Burgundy in France where her ancestors once lived. countryside where she rode horses, iris from her favorite city The black bottle was even made to symbolize the black sands of Greece where the two were wed. Oliver Creed is the sixth-generation Creed perfumer and describes his latest scent as “violet oriental.” Oliver also commented that he was going for a softer, more gourmand scent than the masculine scents his father previously would compose into Love in Black. Love in Black will make its premier debut at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue's New York flagship store. The luxurious fragrance will be offered in three sizes: 1 oz for $130, 2.5 oz for $230, and 8.4 oz for $350. A portion of all sales will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund, an organization that works for wildlife conservation.
