Jeweler Tanishq Gets Artsy

Tanishq

Ravinia goers were able to paint alongside celebrated local artist Jeff Zimmerman as he created a mural to Tony Bennett’s “Music Under the Stars” on August 23.
The communal art initiative is part of the “Living Art” series sponsored by Indian jewelry line Tanishq’s, which brings music, art and fashion worlds together to provide a creative interactive space for all audiences. The project also took place at Ravinia on August 16, as Zimmerman led audiences to interpret the Joffrey Ballet performance through paint.

"Tanishq jewelry is designed to be expressive, so sponsoring Jeff Zimmerman's mural at Ravinia is a natural fit for us," said Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director of Titan Industries, Tanishq's parent company. “Providing guests with the opportunity to contribute to the mural alongside Jeff and express themselves in their own true way celebrates individuality, which is really what Tanishq is all about."

This retail philosophy of exploration clearly shows through in Tanishq’s gold and gem-set jewelry, which creates collections inspired from historical periods of grandeur of both western and eastern worlds and gives them a modern, artistic twist. Tanishq is India’s only national jeweler, and opened its first U.S. store in Schaumburg.
